mercury 4 stroke differences

i have a 75 hp four stroke, i noticed the 90 & 115 all have the same weight, bore and stroke and type of fuel injection. what is the difference between them that accounts for the hp difference?

Not sure may be just different ECU or could be other changes as well, I have never tried it.
