Merc 5.7 MPI Power Loss

Engine bogging down at 3200 rpm, Starts, idles ok. Scan is normal, replaced cool fuel filter, spark plugs, fitted new leads, still no joy. Engine is 2005 model with 280hrs. Compression perfect. No evidence of fuel contamination. Any ideas very welcome.

Run a fuel pressure test would be next step if the scan was ok.
