Hello to all here,,,Several months ago, I ordered a water pump kit for my 1983 115 HP mercury on our 24 Ft Pontoon. I dis-assembled the pump, while waiting for the kit and then the inevitable happened!! I had a heart attack and have been laid up, unable to do much of anything til a couple of weeks ago.
I have been looking all over the internet for a schematic or diagram for the order of the gaskets, O rings in the pump, and just not found anything to help.
I "think" I have the pump assembled correctly but sure wish I had a dwg or something to make sure before putting it in the water.. My other concern is the white plastic "tube" that goes into the pump discharge and is supposed to slip over the tube up in the engine housing, WILL NOT go over the upper tube! Fact is, the "white plastic tube" ID is smaller than the upper tube OD,,!! I do not remember a "collar" or something like that so,,,,how does this piece go on??
