  • air it tilt cylinder

Had a leak in the tilt cylinder...98 200efi.Replaced all seals and o rings in the entire system. The problem...after many up and down cycles, the tilt cylinder is still full of air.It is full of fluid in the up position.I saw where this will eventually work it's way out but not happening here.Is there any other method of bleeding the air out? Thanks!

Use the manual release screw, loosen manual release and let outboard go all the way down, raise it back up by hand and lock in up position, check fluid level and repeat about 3 times.

That doesn't work.Pushes all the fluid out of the trim cylinders in the down position with the manual open which runs out when you check the level at full up tilt..The motor bounces up and down like it's on a spring when in any tilt position except all the way up.The tilt cyl is defititely full of air and it's driving me nuts!Help me...please! Thanks!
