Retrieving information out of PCM

Hey guys, i have just purchased a 2014 150 opti from a dealer and want to know how i can retrieve the information of how many hours etc had been done on this engine. Do you need certain scan tools? Reason i am asking is the place i have purchased from may have swapped the engine i looked at in box for a demostrator so i just want piece of mind. Few things just don't add up with it. Any advice appreciated.

Your dealer can print out run history for you. It requires Mercury Computer diagnostic system to read data.
