Bought '08 BW Sport 13' used 2 years ago, paired with '07 40ELPTEFI since new. OB had about 200hrs. Right away experienced issue where OB bogs while underway. In 4 hours on the water (trolling), the OB will bog 2-3x. ALWAYS, shutting down the OB and restarting returns it to 'normal' function. *knock on wood* It's always started right back up. OB has ~350 hrs now.
Originally thought issue due to poor ventilation on gas tank. Nope.
Fuel lines, fittings, bulb replaced, annual maintenance performed in Mar. '13 -- impeller, plugs, fluids, filters...issue remains.
It was suggest that the 'mesh screen' at the bottom of the 'vapor separator tank' may be the culprit.
