I recently purchased a 25 HP Mercury (Ser No 0D201049) and shipped it to the Philippines for use on a remote island. It started on the second pull, had good compression and pumped water well. Although it is a 1993, it looked almost brand new. That's about all I know about it.
I have two other outboards in the Philippines and can do basic maintenance and simple repair work (remove, clean or replace).
What parts typically go bad or need regular replacement on a '93 Merc 25 hp that I should purchase now and keep on hand in the Philippines? (besides spark plugs)
