2 blown engines - 4.3 Merc I/O

I installed a rebuilt engine from a local company. The problem was a massive failure, the piston disconnected from the rod and the rod drove through the cylinder wall. A fuel problem was suspect, they rebuilt the injectors.

25 hours later, after they installed he new engine...same problem...different cylinders. It was a rebuilt longblock, and they reused some of my components.

The second engine has been put in, but now I am worried we haven't found the source.

Any ideas?

Hard to say, might find out where they got longblock from and call them.
