Would you please explain me how the needle valve works when the motor is cold and then when is already hot. In other words , once the motor is hot , when should be the neddle valve, down or up.

Remove enrichment valve and measure distance of piston and then connect to a 12 volt battery, piston should move over a 5 minute period if good, exact distance of movement is in service manual.
