Motorguide Pro 54 control cable M9377 replacement

My Motorguide Pro 54 control cable broke today. I see replacement part is M9377. Can your average mechanically enclined joe install this new cable fairly easy? Or is it best to buy the whole cable and wiring harness?

I was referring to myself as the mechanically enclined joe. lol I ordered the part and will give it a shot. Going through bass fishing withdrawals already here.
