Tachometer module wiring diagrams.

I have an old merc tach 71-78? T bolt style.bought a module #332-4811a2,came without instructions. What is the wiring format for this module, 402/40 hp electric start? I chose this module because it seems to be compatable with the cd ignition on my 83' mod#1050523,50hp,4cyl,2cyc. Are there any modules available to adapt these old tach's to my application? Is this module run off the orange/salmon "kill switch" wire, or the brown/grey"alternator" wire? Seems to be the alt. Wire.??

I don't have any wire diagrams on it, the modules are now listed as no longer available and no information comes up on them.
