oil drain plug gasket?

I have a 2010 90hp efi. I was servicing the motor when i discovered their was no gasket on the drain plug. Seems to me like their should be one to create a water tight seal? Can anyone confirm this? Also, manual doesnt mention the replacement of lower unit gasets with each service.

Not sure what model motor you have or if it's the gearcase oil screws or engine oil drain screw, here is gearcase for a 4 stroke 90, check serial number to make sure it's correct parts list. Number 5 is gasket 90 EFI (4-STROKE) Mercury Outboard 1B366823 & Up Gear Housing, Driveshaft Diagram and Parts
Number 19 is oil pan drain gasket 90 EFI (4-STROKE) Mercury Outboard 1B366823 & Up Adaptor Plate Diagram and Parts
