90hp optimax vst operating temperature

Should the vst on a 90 hp optimax get warm / hot during normal operation ?
If so what is the max temp?
Back ground replaced both fuel pumps in the vst recently

It will become hot, the electric pump generates heat and the fuel helps cool it. Not sure what max temp is.
