70 hp mercury

I have a mercury 70hp 3 cyl that has no fire to the plugs. How do i test the stator and the switch box?

First think I would do is to disconnect the stop switch wire that goes to the switch box (black/yellow) to test the electrics u would need a DVA multimeter or the DVA adapter to properly read the voltages your testing. Usually a no spark situation is faulty stator or stop switch but should be verified with the DVA and a spec sheet.
