Best prop for a 1996 mercury 115 hp ELPTO

Best prop for a 1996 mercury 115 hp ELPTO, serial number OG427426.
Max RPM 5200, 348lbs. Right now I have a 12 1/2 diameter, 26 pitch.

I want to know if that is the correct prop for general use. I just bought the boat and ive never had it in the water because it needs a prop. My local marina says its not the original. I plan to replace it with a similar prop but I wanted to make sure

If your boat is running 5200rpm with that propeller on it, then that is good. If you have not tried it yet, then 26p seems to large for that motor. Propellers are trial and error, vary by boat, application, etc. You need to try it, chances are you will not even get close to your 5200 limit. Rule of thumb for propellers, for every 1 pitch down you will gain 200-300 rpms (in theory).
