Efi 50

I have a 2007 Mercury EFI 50. On the manifold side of the engine there is a solenoid with two hose nipples. The top nipple has a hose connected to it the bottom does not. The bottom seems to be an intake. When I put my finger over it the engine stalls out. I can find no evidence that there was a hose there. My question is should there be one there and where does it go. I can not see any place that a hose would connect. The engine runs like new. Thank you for any help.

That sounds like the Idle Air Control valve (IAC) and there is no other hose.
