Tilt/Trim Problem

I stored my winterized "97" Merc.60 big foot for 1.5 yrs. in the raised pos.w/the support lever in the support pos. When I pressed the lift button to take the pressure off the manual support lever nothing happened,so i manually lifted it up by the skeg,flipped the support lever down & when i let the motor down hyd. oil squirted out a hole i assume is a pres. relief port@ the base of the pump motor/valve body(yellow cap,single ram). I bought a Clymer shop manual (#B710) & attempted to re-fill the sys. It took the l/u oil but not completly & sprayed the oil out again. I believe maybe i need to re-o-ring the slave cyl.,But i'm open to suggestions...can you help ? Thank You. P.S.Where can I findout what mod. # a yellow cap (Clymer descrtion)tilt sys. is???

It sounds like a hole plug has fell out of PT&T manifold or pump. You might want to take to Mercury dealer and let them look at it to see what is missing.
