  • No spark out of switch box on 1982 50 hp

I have a 1982 50 hp Mercury that has no output to coils from switch box.The readings from the Stator are Blue/white to Blue 2250 ohms and 167v while cranking.Red to Red/white 50 ohms and 26v.The Trigger readings are Purple to White 990 ohms and 1.8v.Brown to white/black 990 ohms and 1.8v.All four Trigger wires read 1.5v to ground.I have the Rectifier and Kill wires disconnected for test. All test done with Fluke 87 meter. My question is do i have enough from Stator and Trigger to fire Switch box or would you think the box is bad? Thanks Jepnut.

    re; no sparky

Yes those readings are pretty close to spec. That dva voltage on stator should be 180v min. I believe. Outboardparts.com has a link with elec. ts specs for merc, omc, etc. Switch boxes go bad all the time--thats your best route. Edmund.
