2 stroke or 4 stroke

I am considering buying a boat. I hav ethe option of buying a 2 stroke engine or a 4 stroke engine. What are the benefits of one over the other. I have some friends saying i should never consider a 2 stroke and others say a 2 stroke is better. I need some help from someone who knows more than me or my friends.

i had twin 150 2 strokes, one blew last week they were 1991, so today im having 150 4 strokes installed, ive been listening to peoples opinions for days on this topic i hope i did the right thing , there being put on a parker 25 deepv sport cabin. i will reply again as soon as i get it in the water
