I bought a 1976 Mercury 20hp (200) electric start, model #1200506, it has a control box with the key starter/ignition switch with the choke button beside it, the guy i bought it from tore the switch apart trying to repair it, so i need a new switch. I wanted to know if anyone else had to replace their switch in a control box similar to mine and if so what switch did they use? Mine is a 3 position, 5 pin, 3/4" threaded shaft short switch. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated! I've contacted a couple suppliers and none of them seem to want to or are able to help me.
