we have a 1984 mercury 60 hp 3 cylinder. we replaced the rectifier with the trr 3072-1060 regulator and it works fine. bought a 895283Q43 tach to put on it. it will not work. it is set to 6p as the instructions say to. i changed the switch to 6c for 6 cylinder engine and it works ok on my pick-up. do i need a different tach to work with the regulator above?????
