Default Mariner 3 cylinder 50 HP stator problem

Have open 16 amp stator in 1988 Mariner 2 cycle 3 cylinder 50 HP outboard. Ordered replacement stator based on SN OB273351. The failed stator part number is 398-832075 A3 with green/white and white/green stator leads. Stator leads do not connect directly to the control module but instead connect to same color leads that then connect to what appears to be a double rectifer with one blue output lead that connects to the control module. Stator received is 398-832075 A4 with red and green stator leads. Are the two stators compatable and if so how must the leads be connected? Is retiming motor necessary following replacement?

Default

When I checked by serial number it shows number 5704A 7 stator for that motor. Might recheck serial number
