Swivel bracket

I have a 1988 bayliner w a 50 hp force engine, 507x8c, the arm reverse lock on the swivel bracket broke part number f366364, I ordered another one but don't know witch direction it goes on, any help would be appreciated , diagrams even better, thanks Tlz
