Default over heat buzzer

my overheating buzzer is not sounding but i think my engine is overheating. in idle i get very little water coming out of the exhaust holes, when the engine is running half to full throttle i am seeing water shooting from the exhaust holes. its a 150 hp (1989) force

As long as the water is flowing under throttle you should be ok. However you can test your buzzer by unpluging the thermoswitch and grounding it out with the key on.

Pull the cover and look for burning paint on the exhaust covers, If they look OK run it and feel the motor. The amount of skin you lose will be a good indication if it's over heating. The lack of flow is more than likely due to debris in the pisser tube. If you haven't changed the impeller recently I would do it anyway. Most people like to run them to failure.
