I am new to this but have learned much in the past week. Check for loose/broken magnets in flywheel. Check all ground connections, ignition switch, and all wires for broken or bare/missing insulation. Visit outboardignition.com for your particular ignition and you will get proper voltage/resistance readings for the stator. Also the site has excellent troubleshooting procedures. Good luck.

Disconnect the kill wire on the motor and check for spark again.
If it comes back look at your keyswitch.

Check coils and stator assembly for proper specifications.
