I have this motor and i don,t know WHO made it or WHEN..Sears 217-586240...Thanks for any help.Jim

Sears did use Force engines from about 1988 to 1998 but they all start out with a 225- number, I don't see your numbers listed.

The 217 might be the Eska version of the Gamefisher.

Hi,I don't think it is 1988 or newer..I saw the microfich on it at www.3sears.com and is was dated Feb 1980 so i figured it was an 1978 or 9?? Does that make sence? Thanks a lot and i would STILL like to know the Manufacturer more or less outa curosity..Thanks guys...Jim

Hi TMD,Just wanted to let you know that you are absolutely correct,I just found on the internet that (217) IS an ESKA #..It turns out mine is an 1980 made by eska..Thanks for your help..Jim.
