Default Force motor won't crank

my 120 HP force motor was running fine, then when at the boat ramp, turn it off, then try to turn it back on, i turned the key, and just a clicking noise from the solenoid but motor won't start. is this due to a starter solenoid or starter motor itself is the culprit?

thanks!

Check your battery connections first, battery voltage, then do the same test at the motor.
If the voltages are down at either you need to fix that before a starter or solenoid.
I find those problems regularly.
A starter and solenoid can easily last the life of the motor with a constant good voltage supply.
Battery cables fail regularly.
Take the wing nuts off of your battery and throw them out. put on hex nuts and tighten them with a wrench.
