I have a mercruiser 4.7 inboard. We just pulled it outa storage from the winter and are having troubles starting it. When the key is turned it clicks once but nothing else. We checked the battery which is fine. We believe that it is either the starter or the cylinode. Is there a way to test which is the problem? Thx.

if U dare, bypass solenoid by connect starter directly to battery using battery cable and remember this is strongly not recomended, it cuold harm U.Technician usually using special tool to bypass it. If starter works after bypass, change selenoid, if not U must check/ repair starter. Carefull of moving parts when U doing this
