I drained my gear oil for winter,and I noticed there is no upper level plug,how much oil do I put in come spring?

Its the vent plug. Fill from the bottom til it comes out the vent hole. You did not say which drive you have. Alpha 1 Gen 1 takes about 32 oz

This thread will most likely be moved to Mercrusier.

Refill in spring? Uh Oh. You need to refill now or the internal components will rust. Trust me, you don't want that to happen. Which outdrive do you have?
