I have a alpha one 3.0L with a 14 1/4 x 17 prop now. I have beat it up a bit and am wondering what prop I can get to get me out of the water quicker. would it be wise to go four blades instead of three and if so what should I look for?
4 Blades is more suitable for acceleration and mid power. You can also drop a pitch if you got to 4 blade. But the performance depends on your boat size. If you are happy with performance just would like more acceleration, 4 blade should work well.
