I'm attempting to drop the lower unit for water pump repair. Can anyone help me with this step in the process"Loosen the jamnut above the shift coupler. Then turn the shift rod coupler until the upper & lower shift rods are separated" Like where the jamnut and shift rod coupler are located
Thanks
Jack C

All the 90Hp motors that I have seen have a splined shift shaft, you shift it into reverse and drop lower unit.
