I am in the process of changing the water pump on my outboard. The impeller is destroyed as well as the inside of the upper housing. Obviously I have to at least find an upper housing replacement kit. I have done some research online and have been having trouble matching the correct part numbers. Help would be much appreciated.

Here are the numbers:

engine: 1986 35 hp serial #A904304

OEM Housing part # 46-77821
OEM impeller part # 47-89983

I discovered that the OEM impeller number matches the Sierra's 18-3007 impeller.

Beyond this I got close but I couldn't find an exact match to the oem housing number!

I hope someone can get me on the right track... it would be much appretiated!

I just got a shipment in to do exactly what you're doing on your 86. Mine is an 89. I got 46-77822A 1 for the upper housing (comes with imperller cup) and 47-89983T for the impeller. I just noticed you're from Newbury too. I'm from Georgetown. Small world!
