Default Warning alarms???

I took my boat out the other day. Got my usual ignition alarm, check. Tried to fire it, got a few beeps"cant remember the count" kill switch out, check. Fired it and had no water pressure. Gauge completely out pointing strait down. Took it easy about 1500 to 3000 rpm and never got an alarm. Saw good solid flow from the piss hole.
I am sure the gauge just went out. It was bouncing all over the place when i went out the week before.
So heres the question, what are the alarm beeps and what do they meen? I have no manual for the motor and i cant find anything any where. Its a 92 200XRI/ EFI

Also wouldnt the motor have kicked down automaticly if i was overheating?

Thanks,
D.J.

Sorry been out of town at a car show.
The initial beeps on keyup is the oil injection warning system telling you it and your alarm horn are in operating condition
That motor can take up to 60 seconds to pee initially.
Your gauge could be bad, also with the bouncing you speak of you probably need to service your poppet valve.
And remember, those motors like a new impeller every 12 months!
