My volt regulator is 883071T1 which Mercury says is obsolete. Mercury Bulletine 2005-11 says to replace with 893640A02 but it does not list it for my 2001 engine (1F60452YD, OT289309). What regulator should I use/buy?

I am about to buy the voltage regulator kit 893640A02 to replace my 883071T1 reguator per Mercury Bulletin 2005-9 and 2005-11 which was written for a 2002-2003 engine. Is this kit also applicable for my 2001 Mercury 60HP 4cyl 4-stroke?

Use 893640A02 regulator on 40/50/60 four cylinder four stroke engines, serial number 0G231123 through 1B227280
