I have a 99 Ranger with a 99 Mercury, 125 hp. Deck mount and engine cowling tilt/trim switches working correctly. Switch on shift lever control is not. I can see a loose wire at the bottom and need to remove control lever. How do I do that? Emblem on lever says "Quicksilver 3000". There is a hex head set screw in bottom of lever that I removed, but no luck in getting lever assembly to come off.

This is a panel (recessed) mount control?
