Default Tilt/trim motor replacement

2003 Mercury 75 trim motor has excessive exterior rust. Removal of the motor assembly appears to be a problem. Is it necessary to remove the engine from the transom in order to replace the motor?

Thanks. Those rear bolts look hard to get to.

Once you get the starboard transom bracket off you unbolt the trim and slip it out. then the bolts are easier
