I am looking for a powerhead for my 1968 mercury 500/50 hp outboard. (inline 4 cylinder). There is a 1966 model available. It is also a 500/50 hp mercury. Both are inline 4 cylinder engines I believe. Can anyone tell me if the powerhead from the 1966 model will fit/work with the lower unit of my 1968 model?
