Default studs on lower unit rusted adn frozen to engine

Iv got an older '76' I think. trying to install a new impeller but cannot get the studs out due to corrosion and rust. Anyone have any luck with a problem like this? Bilbo

Persistance, heat and drilling are the only alternatives with rusted bolts.

Smile corroded stud

[SIZE="7"]Stud turned out to be the torax bolt holding the zink plate on bottom of lower end. I had rounded the torax head and was screwed but for the next larger size of torax bit which I ground down just a little on my handy grinder. I then slammed it home with a carpenters hammer and after digging the corrosion from around it and plenty of WD=40 was I able to wrench it out with a 5/8 socket.
God I hate corrosion
