THE MERC 200EFI 2 TIME POWERHEAD FAILURE IS DUE TO A FAULTY IGNITION BOX ADVANCING THE TIMING TO THE TOP STARBOARD CYCLINDER. THE LAST TIME THE SAME CYCLINDER WENT AND THE TECH SAID IT WAS A SHORTED WIRE IN THE HARNESS. SHOULD BE ALL DONE NEXT WEEK

Hope you make out better this trip. But I am not sure you are done yet.

Shorted wire in the harness..... maybe.

Advance timing to one cyinder.... teach me,as all the cylinders are attached firmly to the crankshaft.Sounds like a bad idea.

Maybe they mean when the injector fires or then misfires...
