Hi,

I had an accident with my boat and the 75 hp Optimax was partly under seawater for some hrs. I had it cleaned and checked at a workshop but they could not diagnose it. Later when diagnose it at an authorized workshop they found the coils to be broken. However, when changing the coils there were still no sparks. The workshop then claimed that the ECU was broken and needs changing. This is an extremely expencive item in Norway and I really do not want to buy it before we are 100% certain.
Have any of you had this kind of problem before?

Unfortunately the CDI page did not contain any information about Optimax.

It seems I have to buy a new ECU and three new coils and these items costs an arm and a leg in Norway. So if any of you guys have a second hand ECU I might buy it
