Default Motor alarm (s)

I have a 1998 30/40 Mercury Jet. Is the overheat alarm the same sound as the low oil alarm?
I have only heard my alarm a few times in all these years and I always assumed it was the cooling alarm, but maybe it could also be the oil alarm?
See my post from a few days ago about cooling issues to see why I am concerned.
Thanks for any help.
Myles

Default Overheat.

It is a continus tone for overheat. An intermitent tone means low oil or if you have a feul/water seperator. It means water in the fuel.J

Thank you. At least now I know my alarm was for heating.
