Default Mercury pistons
I have a 1973 Mercury 115hp (1150), serial number 3651149. I ordered what I thought were 3 ring pistons but received 2 ring pistons. When I called I was informed that the 3 ring pistons were obsolete and only the 2 ring pistons are available. Can I run 4, 3 ring pistons with 2, 2 ring pistons or do I need to, or should I, make them all the same? Thanks

Yes you can run (3) 3 ring pistons and (2) 2 ring pistons.
