I just bought an older Mercury 9.8hp 110. It has no serial number plate, nor any serial number disk on the power head. It has a thin, 1/16" white and brown stripe around the cowling. It may even be one of the Belgium models. It has a tillotson carburetor with the number 010739 on it. I am in desperate need of determining the model year so that I can get some parts (at least a carburetor kit and adjustment instructions) Any help will be greatly appreciated!

It would be in the mid 80's. not sure exact year.

Is that the serial number you listed? What horsepower is it?
