Default mercury 225 hp
i have 2 engines.one is 2002 mercury 225 XL EFI model OT747911 serial nr 1225423Ay .the second is 2003 mercury 225 cxl dfi model OT774743 .I want to order some parts but i want to know if the engine in 2 stoke or 4 stroke.

Both are 2 stroke.

how hard is to clean the injection pump on 2003 mercury cxl dfi ,OT 774743.The engine is sitting for 3 years.

It is not difficult, just time consuming. Be sure to take knowledge when disassembling to be sure you reassemble properly.
