Back already. How can I find the model #? I can only find a tag with the serial # on it. 6526959. Can I get info from this?

Mercury bases most of its information off the Serial number, however your model number is: 1115624. Shows to be a 1986 115hp version ELPT

Oh, What does the ELPT stand for? Also, I have a hydraulic leak in the tilt and trim. What kind of fluid do I use? It looks and smells like ATF.

ELPT = Electric start Long shaft Power Trim/Tilt. Yes you can use ATF.
