Default Mercury 115HP EFI

Hello,

I have a question, please help.
I have a 115 EFI and a 17.1 fiberglass, and with my usual boat load the max RPM I can reach is 5000.

My question is, considering this, if it is ok to run at 5000 RPM or this will stress the outboard and reduce the life time ?

Thank you,
Dan

The operating range is 5000-6000 rpm and it will last many years with correct servicing. Change oil & filter at regular intervals, use a quality oil and correct viscosity and run Quickleen additive every other fill up..
