Default Merc 60HP thermostat temp

I live in the Puget sound area. I guess I should use a 140 degree cooling thermostat instead of a 120 because of the colder water.

Any opinions are appreciated. Pat

Check with your local dealers, they probably have most experience with engines in the colder water and climate. If it's a four stroke motor it may already have 140's in it.
