Default Merc 150 XR6 Ignition

OK so I have a 2002 Merc 150 XR6. As of this weekend my ignition switch is working but not working correctly. Usuallly I turn the key hear it beep push in to choke and im on my way down the river. This weekend though I turn the key and dont hear the beep initially. I can push it forward a tad until im just about to turn over the motor and it beeps and sometimes I can jiggel it. My question is. Is this somehow telling me something is going wrong with the motor or could it be as easy as installing a new ignition? Do ignition switches go bad and if so does anyone know the part # for a new ignition switch with electric choke? Motor wise it is running good not problems I did pull the ignition to see if the terminals were loose or corroded but everything was good I also fully charged the battery prior. Any help would be much appreciated I hope im making sence!!

Thanks
Dan

It sounds like a bad switch and yes they do go bad, the more they are exposed to weather the more trouble they give.
