I have a 1976 merc 110 9.8 hp sn 4306201. I have determined it has a crankcase leak. I have split the case and want to replace the crankshaft seals. I cannot get the lower seal off - the crankshaft has some sort of pressed on piece that looks like thin wall conduit referred to as a "carrier assembly / seal part number 63991a 1 " Any advice on how to remove carrier and lower crankshaft seal (seal will not fit over the carrier)
