Default Identify this part
This part is stuck in my lower unit it has rubbed a hole from vibrating around in the out side of my lower unit.Can not remove it without taking lower unit apart.Lower unit has never been worked on.It is the size and shape of a socket but is not a socket.200 optimax 300 hrs.Never noticed it when greasing the shaft . Only after seeing water coming from hole did I notice it .Finger is where the hole is.misc 084.jpg

Default Here it is out of my lower unit
The part removed today merc dealer says THEY DONT KNOW PART misc 009.jpg

looks like a pick up tube from your water pump, or maybe an extra one

That a wrist pin from a previous engine failure,like stuck in exhaust tube when old powerhead was removed...
